Letters to wife and children re details of camp life; including 20 Dec. 1863, Camp Elzy, [Va.], citing scarcity of forage for horses, noting that some of the men left at night to steal corn but that he did not approve, and giving advice re crops and plantation management, "tell Jake and Sol if I had the corn and fodder they wast[e] & tramp under their feet it would feed my horse verry well." Lynn's loyalty oath, dated 11 Sept. 1865, sworn in Union, S.C.
